A fun colorful weather application with slim text and lines, and custom icons and background illustrations.
This mobile app relies on the extensive use of overlays with background blur as a main way to contain the essential data while separating it from the images. Horizontal and vertical scroll groups are utilized on screens that require the ordering of comprehensive data in an easy to use way. Toggling between essentials and detailed info allows for the shrinking of the overlays to reveal more of the background illustrations.
The app uses the Proxima Nova font, which is a discrete and elegant sans serif typeface. Type is complemented by slim lines that further contribute to the overall style.
Custom illustrations were made for different location types. Additional color grading was applied to mimic the look and feel during the different times of the day and night at each location.
